What’s the difference between Uukha target and field carbon limbs?
It’s a question we get a lot: what sets apart our target range from our nature range?
Here’s the full breakdown!
⚙️ Equivalent mechanical qualities
All our limbs are built to the same strict standards.
During production, it’s impossible to know in advance whether they’ll end up in target or nature range.
👉 The result: same composition, same profile, same feel!
Alpha & Yangi: 70% carbon, 30% fiberglass
Sigma & Mazaalaï: 90% carbon, 10% fiberglass
Omega & Altan: 100% carbon
The difference? How they’re measured 📏
Target and Nature limbs are not measured and weighed in the same way:
- Target limbs (Alpha, Sigma, Omega): measured and weighed on a 25’’ riser, in 2# increments.
- Nature limbs (Yangi, Mazaalaï, Altan): measured and weighed on a 19’’ riser, in 5# increments.
This makes target limbs more precise when comparing marked vs. actual poundage, while nature limbs are calibrated a little more broadly.
In short
Performance and feel are strictly identical between target and nature limbs.
Our recommendation?
For competitors, we suggest target range for greater accuracy between marked and actual poundage.
For bowhunters, nature range is the best fit, since it’s measured and weighed on 19’’ risers - the standard in that discipline.
Two ranges, one single standard: yours.
