USA, Africa, France: podiums and top performances for Team Uukha!
The second half of July was another action-packed period, with major national and international competitions taking place around the world.
Here's a look back at the latest performances from our ambassadors.
2026 Buckeye Classic: Alex takes silver 🥈
Another outstanding weekend of competition for our American ambassador Alex De Vera at the Buckeye Classic in Ohio.
After an excellent qualification round that earned him the No. 2 seed, Alex carried that form through the elimination matches, advancing all the way to the gold medal final.
He narrowly missed out on the title after a closely contested match, finishing with a well-deserved silver medal. 🥈
African Championships, Oran (Algeria)
21–26 July 2026
Our ambassador Ryan Chan competed at the 15th African Archery Championships in Oran, Algeria.
It was a major event for the Mauritanian archer and his national team, as they took on the continent's best in pursuit of podium finishes and international recognition.
After securing an excellent third place in qualification, Ryan made the transition to the elimination matches look effortless - no small feat in such a demanding format.
A series of composed performances earned him a well-deserved individual bronze medal. 🥉
And that wasn't all. Ryan leaves Oran with three bronze medals in total:

These results also propel him into the World Archery Top 100 for the first time, where he now sits at World No. 83.
French National Championships
The French National Championship season is officially underway!
Over the next four weekends, France's top archers will compete across four national championships: Target Archery, Elite Target Archery, Field Archery, and 3D Archery.
The opening event took place in Riom, one of the country's iconic archery venues, from 24–26 July.
Team Uukha out in force
As always, Team Uukha was well represented, with Audrey Machinet, Jennifer Devaux, Vincent Hérent, Antoine Michon, Alexandre Desemery, Florian Bossard, and Damien Pigeaud all competing.
Before heading to the shooting line, our ambassadors also stopped by the Uukha booth, where many of you came to discover our latest products, try them out—and for many, take the plunge and join the Uukha family.
Outstanding qualifications... one gold and one silver in the end
Qualification rounds were held in particularly challenging conditions, with thunderstorms and strong gusts of wind - weather that Riom regulars know all too well! ⛈️💨
Despite the conditions, Audrey Machinet, Alexandre Desemery, and Florian Bossard all claimed the top qualifying spot in their respective categories.
Audrey also delivered a superb performance by setting a new personal best of 646 points. 👏🏹
In the elimination matches, Alexandre Desemery confirmed his outstanding form, holding on to his No. 1 ranking to claim another French National Championship title - already his third national title of the season.
Audrey Machinet also added another impressive result to her season, claiming a superb silver medal - following the one she earned earlier this year at the French Indoor National Championships. 🥈
