At Uukha, price is determined by the quality and quantity of materials used, an extensive research and development behind it, and all conditions in which our limbs and risers are manufactured. 
Our product range is also designed to cater to different levels of technicality and help archers progress in their practice.

Quality, quantity and R&D

Fifteen years ago, we could have easily followed the path of other manufacturers: a foam or wooden core, some carbon, and a nice decoration with a French flag, and voilà: "French” limbs!

But we chose a different path. We aimed for real innovation: no more wooden or foam cores that can make limbs less durable and less efficient over time. Instead, we introduced Monolith Carbon!

Selecting carbon fabrics is a crucial step in R&D, especially when you prioritize working within a short supply chain with French companies.

Defining the best limb profile is also a lengthy process - it takes time to create true innovation, with numerous calculations and tests, and time comes at a cost. Lastly, carbon is more expensive than maple, bamboo, or foam... especially when, as with our limbs, up to 50% of the material used is carbon. At Uukha, you are truly buying high-tech materials.
 

Uukha, high technology and craftsmanship.

At Uukha, the only part of the process done by a machine is cutting carbon, everything else is handmade. 

Every other step is handled by our team, by hand: molding, trimming, sanding, applying stickers, varnishing, checking poundage, quality control, boxing and shipping.

And this isn't happening halfway around the world : it's all done internally, right here in La Rochelle, on the West Coast of France. That's why today, we’re the ONLY French manufacturer of Olympic bows.
