Team Uukha: two medals at the Nové Město Para Archery World Series Event

From June 29 to July 5, the Para Archery World Ranking Event took place in Nové Město, Czech Republic.

Fresh off his European Championship title, our ambassador Guillaume Toucoullet was joined by Viktor Liadushchenkov to take on the world's best para archers.

🥉 Guillaume claimed a fantastic bronze medal, once again proving he belongs among the world's elite!

Another top-level competition awaited Guillaume, with some of the best para recurve archers in the world in the field: Kholidin of Indonesia, Travisani of Italy, Harvinder of India, Radigan of Great Britain… An incredibly strong line-up!

After finishing 8th in qualification, Guillaume put together a superb run through the elimination rounds:

🏹 Round of 32: 6–2 win over Ukraine’s Holovin

🏹 Round of 16: 6–5 shoot-off win over Korea’s Kwak

🏹 Quarterfinal: 6–4 win over Czech archer Chaloupsky

In the semifinal, he was defeated by India’s Harvinder, the reigning Paralympic champion, who produced an outstanding performance.

But Guillaume was not done yet!

Facing Slovakia’s Denis Ivan in the bronze-medal match, he delivered another top-class performance and claimed a convincing 7–3 victory.

👏 A brilliant bronze medal at the end of an exceptional run against some of the very best archers on the international stage.

🥈 A fantastic silver medal for Viktor!

Our Ukrainian ambassador Viktor Liadushchenkov finished 17th in the qualification round. Unfortunately, his individual campaign came to an end in the Round of 32.

But his competition was far from over!

Teaming up with fellow Ukrainian Ruslan Tsymbaliuk in doubles event, Viktor put together an excellent run all the way to the final.

After a great match featuring some outstanding shooting, the Ukrainian duo was narrowly defeated by the Indian team and claimed a superb silver medal. 🥈
