Round number 2 for Alicia Baumert : World archery 3D Championships in Mokrice, Slovénia.

8 oct. 2024

7,786 km... that’s the distance between Lac La Biche in Canada and Mokrice in Slovenia! Our French competitors, some of whom had just returned from the World Field Championships, were eager for revenge on this Slovenian course, which is well-known among international archers. But for our Pro staff member Alicia Baumert, it was her first time here, and she was determined to make her mark at this Championship...

Alicia, who finished 3rd after the first two days of qualifying, wasn’t just competing individually - she was also part of a team with her teammates and competing in mixed team barebow alongside David Jackson.

Weather wasn’t kind to archers in Slovenia, especially on Thursday when they had to shoot in pouring rain. It was a challenging situation (though, let’s be honest, it does make for some stunning pictures!). But our prostaff Alicia, handled it well ! Saturday was set to be intense for her, with a team bronze medal up for grabs and the mixed team final ahead !

After the disappointment of a 4th place finish in the team event — where the girls fought hard but ultimately lost against American Girls in the play-off— it was time to refocus for the mixed team final.
After a tough battle, our French pair came out on top against the formidable spanish mixed team, securing the coveted title !

In the individual event, it was Cinzia Noziglia, the talented Italian archer that Alicia has come to know very well, who stopped her progress in semi-finals.
The bronze medal match was again against another Italian opponent, and being just 2 points short meant that our Frenchwoman couldn’t secure a spot on the individual podium at this World Championship.

A world title and two fourth-place finishes — that’s a fantastic record for Alicia at this Championship, bringing her 2023-2024 season to a close.

CONGRATULATIONS to the entire French team for their performances in Slovenia, CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL 349 ARCHERS FROM 31 COUNTRIES  who participated to this World's 3D Championships and ...

... THANK YOU ALICIA, for once again showcasing our Made in France equipment at the highest level !
