Lausanne Indoor World Cup: team Uukha results
Last week, Lausanne, Switzerland, hosted the first leg of the Indoor World Series, with several Team Uukha ambassadors taking part!
Let's look back at this first major event of the season!
We had several athletes competing in Switzerland last weekend: Lara Gryson in U21 women's recurve, Natalia Manjarrez in Senior women's recurve, and Daniel Medveczky and Alexandre Desemery in Senior men's recurve
Our ladies finish in the top 8 !
After strong qualification rounds, Lara and Natalia finished 8th and 7th respectively!
A special mention goes to Natalia, who delivered some fantastic matches, including an incredibly close round-of-16 battle that she won in the second shoot-off, with a 10+ against a 10! 🔥
👏 Congratulations to both of you on such a great start to the season!

A Team Uukha showdown & silver for Alexandre! 🥈
What a fantastic weekend for our French ambassador, Alexandre Desemery, who kicked off the new season in style with his Omega limbs and Xpro3 riser!
Finishing 3rd in qualification, including an impressive 299-point round, Alexandre showed he was already in great form at the start of this indoor season!
And the draw had a special surprise in store: an all-Uukha showdown against our Slovak ambassador, Daniel Medveczky, in his very first elimination match!
Alexandre quickly took control, securing a convincing 7–1 victory.
Daniel finished 27th in this opening leg of the Indoor World Series. 🏹

Alexandre then kept the momentum going, winning match after match and taking down some of the world's best archers, including Nicholas D'Amour (6–0) and Willem Bakker (6–4)! 🔥
And this is certainly not his first impressive indoor performance! Last year, he finished 4th in Nîmes, and he's also a European Indoor Mixed Team silver medallist.

In the final against Keziah Chabin, Alexandre put up another fierce fight but eventually fell 7–3.
A fantastic silver medal to kick off his indoor season, following an impressive run of victories against some of the world's top archers! 🥈🔥
👏 Congratulations, Alexandre, on such an amazing start to the season! 🏹

Denisa in our thoughts...
This weekend, our thoughts were also with Denisa Hurban Baránková, our ambassador and dear friend, whom we tragically lost earlier this year.
And it was impossible not to think of her even more when we saw Elena Placha's wonderful victory in the U21 category.
Elena shoots for LK Bratislava, the club Denisa represented and which we decided to continue supporting by providing equipment.
For us, it's a way of keeping alive the very special bond we shared with Denisa, even after her sudden passing.
And this weekend, Elena gave us a truly special moment in archery.
After finishing 2nd in qualification, she made an incredible run to the final, where she defeated Germany's Fiona Marquardt, the top qualifier, to claim victory in this opening leg!
A win that means something particularly special to us.
Congratulations, Elena, on this fantastic achievement. And thank you, Elena and Vladimir, for such a beautiful and emotional moment. 🏹
