Lancaster Archery Classic 2026: Ollie Hicks claims victory for Uukha

This year, 10 Uukha ambassadors competed at Lancaster Archery Classic, a major international event bringing together over 2,160 participants across all categories.

A strong statement right from qualifications

The Barebow division was particularly competitive, with 253 archers fighting for just 64 spots in the elimination matches.

From qualification rounds onward, Team Uukha delivered outstanding scores, setting the tone early in the competition:

- René Bekker – 3rd place, 568
- Ludvig Rohlin – 4th place, 567
- Luke Thornsbury – 6th place, 564
- Ollie Hicks – 11th place, 558
- Giuseppe Seimandi – 31st place, 539
- Jovica Djukic – 47th place, 527
- Alex De Vera – 50th place, 523

In the women’s field, Medina Otajagic finished 6th out of 100 competitors with 509 points.

A brand-new event this year: Mixed Teams

One of this year’s highlights was the introduction of the Mixed Teams event.
Medina, René, Luke, and Giuseppe took part alongside other archers for this very first edition.

For this inaugural competition:

- Luke, paired with Ava Jones, claimed 2nd place
- Giuseppe, shooting with Cinzia Noziglia, finished 3rd

Red-hot matches

Despite the blizzard outside (right, Giuseppe? ❄️), matches inside were electric, with intense duels and a white-hot atmosphere throughout the arena.

In the women’s division, Medina Otajagic delivered a remarkable performance, holding on to a final 6th place against a field of top-level senior archers, further confirming her full potential on the international stage.

The standout moment of the 2026 edition was undoubtedly Ollie Hicks’ victory. He produced a masterful run, finishing ahead of Swedish legend Erik Jonsson.

His compatriot René Bekker also stepped onto the podium with an excellent 3rd-place finish.

The same podium, two pairs of Omega limbs, and yet another clear demonstration of the performance and reliability of Uukha products at the very highest level.
