Goodbye Denisa...

It is with immense sadness and deep sorrow that we learned on Monday, June 22, of the tragic passing of our ambassador, Denisa Hurban Baránková, at just 24 years of age.

This sudden loss has come as a profound shock not only to the archery community, but to the wider sporting world as well.

We were fortunate to share part of Denisa’s sporting and personal journey. As she herself told us, her most recent season with our equipment had been the best of her career, and we were incredibly happy for her.
There is no doubt that many more successes lay ahead...

Behind the world-class athlete, the two-time Olympian, and the champion admired around the globe, there was a young woman who was smiling, passionate, generous, and deeply inspiring.

Her energy, determination, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of meeting her.

She was a remarkable young woman, with a heart every bit as great as her determination.

Alongside her sporting career, Denisa was also pursuing her studies and was due to graduate at the end of this month with a Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Methods. It would have been one more reason to celebrate together at the Madrid World Cup stage in July, where she was, of course, set to compete.

We are grateful and proud to have counted Denisa among the ambassadors of the Uukha family.

More than an exceptional athlete, we will remember the person she was. We cherished our conversations with her, her attitude, her mindset, her warmth, and her authenticity. We were fortunate to have shared a small part of her journey, and we will carry her memory with us forever.

Today, our most heartfelt thoughts go to her husband, her family, her loved ones, her teammates, and everyone whose life she touched.

The archery world has lost a great champion.
We have lost a friend.
