JVD Open - KOA 2025: Uukha shines once again on international stage
The JVD Open – Kings of Archery Series has become a must-attend event of indoor season, so of course our ambassadors were there!
An exceptional competition
A few key facts to start with…
- 1,249 archers
- A unique format with 900-point qualifications where yellow = 10, then standard scoring zones: 8, 7, 6…
- A final round in shoot-off style, with direct eliminations between all archers who shot a perfect 300, or the Top 8 in category, plus the JOKER (the highest-ranking archer among the non-qualified who earns a spot in finals after a series of shoot-offs).
In short: a fun, exciting event - and a level of competition that keeps getting higher every year!
And what about our ambassadors?
15 of them travelled to Eindhoven in Netherlands from November 7 to 9.
Recurve…
After the three qualification rounds, two of our archers managed to shoot at least one 300: Jennifer Devaux and Florian Bossard.
Such a great twist for Florian: after a major mistake that cost him a spot in Top 8, he entered the men’s recurve final as JOKER. Thanks to an impressive run of four consecutive shoot-off wins, he secured his place in finals!
He finished 5th, tied with the other archers eliminated in his round.

- Denisa Barankova : 883 / 17th
- Jennifer Devaux : 882 / 18th
- Audrey Machinet : 875 / 27th
- Florian Bossard: 886 / 35th – 5th in finals

On barebow side…
One of our barebow ambassadors made the trip to Netherlands: Virginie Chevrier, who finished in a very solid 15th place.
Our barebow ambassadors also delivered outstanding performances - including Simone Figliola, Giuseppe Seimandi, René Bekker, and the two youngest members of Uukha delegation, Ludvig Rohlin and Ollie Hicks, who took 2nd and 1st place in he qualification rounds with 868 and 875 points respectively!

This year, the final had the feel of a collective victory: 50% of the qualified archers were from Team Uukha, with Ollie, Ludvig, René, and Giuseppe all making it through.

In this high-pressure final, it was Ollie who managed to secure 3rd place at the 2025 edition, followed by Ludvig in 4th, René in 7th, and Giuseppe in 8th.
