Guillaume Toucoullet: 2026 European Para Archery Champion
A few days ago, the European Para Archery Championships took place in Rome.
Our ambassador, Guillaume Toucoullet, was of course there!
Solid qualification rounds followed by a perfectly controlled run through the matches 🔥
With 642 points, Guillaume finished 3rd in qualification in the Open Recurve category.
A score slightly below his expectations, but still enough to secure a very interesting bracket for the elimination rounds.
And what a day came next!
Great shooting feelings, real confidence in his form, and total determination to go all the way in this major competition 💪
After a controlled first match won 6-0, Guillaume followed up with two more convincing victories: 7-3, then 6-2 in the quarterfinals.
The semifinal against Sergey Khatakov, who qualified 2nd, was far more intense. Trailing 4-0, Guillaume never gave up. He gradually raised his level, took back control of the match… and eventually claimed victory 6-4 after an incredible comeback.
It was another final for Guillaume!
An incredible final to claim a first major international title
The wind was blowing hard and unpredictably - definitely not the kind of conditions archers enjoy most, let’s be honest!
But in this incredibly intense final against Ukraine’s Ruslan Tsymbaliuk, Guillaume wanted the title more than anything 💪
👉 2-0 for Guillaume after the opening set, then 2-2, 3-3… before taking the lead again at 5-3 just before the final end.
And what a final end…
Even more: what a final arrow! 🎯
He needed at least a gold - maybe even a 10 - to finish the job.
And Guillaume delivered. Under pressure, but with total control. A lot of control.

Congratulations as well to Viktor Liadushchenkov (Ukraine), our other young ambassador competing at these European Para Archery Championships.
Ranked 22nd after qualifications, Viktor fought all the way through an extremely close first match against the archer ranked 11th, eventually losing in a shoot-off.
👉 He finally finished 18th overall - a very promising performance that confirms his great potential.
One thing is certain: we’ll definitely see Viktor again soon on the international stage!
