Denisa Barankova now flying with the squirrel!

At just 23 years old, Denisa Barankova - currently ranked 22nd in the world in recurve - has officially joined Team Uukha!

A strong background on international stage

Denisa began her international career in 2017 as part of Slovak national team.
Since then, she has competed in numerous European Grand Prix events, both Indoor and Outdoor World Cup stages, as well as European and World Championships across all disciplines.

An impressive track record

Denisa claimed her first international podium at the 2021 European Championships in Antalya, where she brought home a bronze medal for Slovakia.
Later that same year, she added a silver medal at the European Field Championships in Croatia.

After several Top 10 finishes in major competitions throughout 2022 and 2023, autumn 2023 marked a turning point in Denisa’s results:

🥈Silver – European Field Championships, Italy (September 2023)
🥇  Gold – Lausanne Excellence Challenge (October 2023)
🥈  Silver – GT Open 2023
🥇  Gold – Swiss Open 2024

🥉  Bronze – Indoor World Series, Las Vegas (March 2025)

Two Olympic appearances 

Denisa also competed at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games, finishing 33rd in both editions.
