World Para Archery Championships
Gwangju – South Korea

Just two weeks after his double gold in Nove Mesto, we met up again with Guillaume Toucoullet in Gwangju for World Para Archery Championships.

With a 6th place in the qualification round and a solid score of 642 points, Guillaume got his championship off to a great start.

Directly qualified for the round of 1/16 finals, he won his first match against Juan Diego Blas Fernández from Guatemala.

Unfortunately, under the rain, he was unable to secure a win in the round of 1/8 finals against Lee Jihoon from Korea.

A 9th place finish at the World Championships for our French athlete.

We’ll see him again in Antalya, Turkey, from October 17 to 19, where he’ll compete with his club, Les Archers de Compiègne, at the final event of the season — the European Club Cup.

European 3D Championships
Divčibare – Serbia

This is one championship our seven ambassadors won’t forget anytime soon!

In October, the weather in this small Serbian mountain town — nestled at nearly 1,000 meters between forests, rivers, and peaks — can be cool and damp. But our archers (and everyone else!) certainly didn’t expect this kind of weather!

Qualifications

Things went pretty well for all our Team members:

- Anne Sorais-Chateaugiron (Traditional Bow) made the cut in 16th place, an excellent result for her first international competition with Team France.

- Steve Adet (Traditional Bow) finished a solid 7th.

- Alicia Baumert (Barebow), the team’s marathon woman, took 5th place.

- Rania Braccini (Barebow) secured 10th place.

- Julien Duprat (Barebow), another newcomer in French colors, placed 11th.

- Ludvig Rohlin (Barebow), the team’s youngest member shooting in the senior category for this event, finished 6th.

- And a fantastic 2nd place for Giuseppe Seimandi (Barebow), who’s been in top form lately — literally on fire on Day 2 with a brilliant 490 points!

Everything was going great… until the weather decided otherwise!

Christmas came early!

A snowstorm and thick fog joined the party, forcing organizers to suspend the competition for two full days as a safety measure — putting both the archers’ and organizers’ patience to the test!

Everyone did their best to pass the time… including our Swedish friends, who really made themselves feel “right at home”!

Team and Mixed team Competition

Despite a heavily disrupted schedule, organizers - hats off to them - managed to hold team finals right at the bottom of the hotel, creating a truly unique moment for the athletes!

In mixed team event, it was a close call: French pair Baumert –Duprat narrowly missed the podium, finishing 4th.

As for Giuseppe, competing in mixed doubles with Cinzia Noziglia, he struck gold! 🥇

While our male ProStaff teams faced some tough challenges, French women’s team - including Alicia and Anne - brought home a bronze medal! A first for Anne, who was particularly moved by the achievement.
